Massage is the manipulation of the body’s soft tissue. The main purpose of massage is to reduce stress, increase circulation, and reduce pain and muscle soreness, and tension.

Hydrate before and after your session.

Don’t come on a full stomach, instead eat something light beforehand

If you experience any muscle soreness, which is perfectly normal, take a hot Epson salt bath to ease muscle tension.

Massage isn’t a one-time deal. We recommend receiving massage services every 3-6 weeks. Massage can provide short-term, temporary relief to muscles. However, the effects of massage will last longer the more often you receive services.

Massage is perfectly safe during pregnancy as long as you are experiencing a normal and healthy pregnancy. Getting the OK from your physician is always recommended beforehand.

How will I be positioned during the massage?

During the early months of pregnancy, massage is perfectly safe to perform while face down on the table. However, your comfort is very important to us and the use of pillows and bolsters can be used to elevate you so that you are not lying directly on your stomach.

Once your stomach starts to develop side-lying positioning will be used.

Please note, that 24-hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment if you are unable to give 24-hour notice you will be charged for the full amount of your appointment time or asked to forfeit any vouchers.
